Do you have the academic leadership skills to contribute to the life and governance of Curtin’s organic and isotope geochemistry research team? As an emerging research academic, your role will be to provide leadership and administrative support to the leader of the research team and to make contributions to its research outcomes in your area of expertise. You will coordinate grants, contribute to major grant proposals, and assist in the development of industry collaborations, links and global research partnerships. You will supervise higher degree by research (HDR) students and contribute to teaching and administration.
Your research outputs will demonstrate your ability to undertake internationally recognised individual and collaborative multidisciplinary research in geochemistry, environmental chemistry, environmental microbiology or related fields. You will demonstrate success in attracting external competitive funding and have the ability to develop and lead a geomicrobiology/biogeochemistry research program that produces high-quality peer-reviewed publications in leading scientific journals and literature.
A doctoral qualification in a relevant area and a demonstrated nationally recognised research track record in a relevant area are essential. You will also possess strong interpersonal and communication skills, high-level strategic thinking, and the ability to develop excellent collaborative networks.
